There’s no room for error when it comes to the lives of patients, and no time for delay when every second counts. Every medical translation must be 100% accurate because even the smallest mistake can have devastating consequences. That’s why it’s so important to select professional translators who are rigorous about accuracy and have specialist experience of medical translation.
Why do we use only medically qualified translators for medical translations?

In the medical translation field, even small errors can have huge consequences. Just think “arthritis” versus “arteritis” whereas one refers to the inflammation of joints and the other refers to arteries. With such understanding, you will only be working with translators who have many years of experience and who will deliver meticulous work every time.

Terminology

Thanks to our extensive terminology database which was developed by Link Translation itself, the team can create, maintain and have access to a consistent glossary during the whole project, in addition to translation memories and dictionaries. The glossary is reviewed and confirmed by specialists who are doctors or biomedical engineers who have experience in the client’s particular medical field, and also approved by the client’s local office or staff if applicable.

Team Qualification

A good team is critical to ensure high quality, and medical translation is a highly specialized discipline that should only be carried out by suitably qualified translators. For medical projects Link Translation has a dedicated in-house team that consists of only qualified translators (and editors and proofreaders). All of them have a strong background in medical science, with at least a BA in medicine, pharmacology, or biomedicine. We also have an extensive base of freelance medical translators who are carefully chosen and tested. We can build teams quickly to support large projects or projects requiring a fast turnaround, at the same time ensuring that the complex medical, pharmaceutical or legal information is being conveyed accurately. All translations are carried out exclusively by native speakers.
